One cresnt of houses is called entenary rescent, 1898. The name is in memory of the 1798 rebellion agianst English rule. The rebellion failed and 15 men were hanged at Gallows Green . |

When the Presentation Brothers came to Gallows Green they decided to change the name to Greenmount. It would not be nice to build a school ata a placw called after hanging people. |
