Erkki Tanskanen
Harviala Partner School
Retires, June 2006

Our good friend and colleague, Erkki Tanskanen, from Harviala School in Finland has retired. We wish himself and his family all the best during a long and happy 'freedom'. Below are some pictures of Errki taken during our European Project with our friends from England, The Netherlands and Finland.

Errki takes leave of Harviala in a London Bus for his spin home. We believe he was also accompanied by a certain Irishman, Mr. Jameson! School principal Seppo Kilpi holds the door.

Erkki, questioning and quizzical on first trip to Cork!

Ever gracious Errki presents the Lord Mayor of Cork with a book on Finland.

Singing a sweet Finnish folk song and signing the visitors book in City Hall, Cork.

Singing and dancing in Principal Whooley's house during Cork visit.

The cultured man of Harviala accompanies irish delegates to a concert in the Hamenlinna Kulttuurikeskus featuring the noted Finnish Soprano Johanna Rusanen.
