| On the 22nd April 2009, twelve teachers from our Comenius partner schools arrived at Cork airport with CHRIS, for a four day trip to Greenmount N.S.

| There were two teachers from Germany, three from Italy, four from the Czech Republic and three from Belgium.
|

| We had a whole-school assembly in the halla to welcome our visitors. Chris sat on the stage and watched everything.
|
 |
 |
| Junior infants sang a very funny song for our visitors and first class performed an Irish dancing routine.
|
 |
 |
| The senior classes told our visitors of the proud history and sporting success of our school.
|
 |
 |
| Finally, Mrs. Fahy led the school choir in a stunning performance. Our visitors were very impressed. Chris had told our Comenius friends about Irish dancing and they couldn't wait to give it a try.

| To introduce our visitors to Cork we were very proud that our Lord Mayor took time to welcome our Comenius friends in his private chambers. Chris was very excited to sit and chat with the Lord Mayor. Many former Lords Mayor have been past pupils of Greenmount, maybe Chris will be Lord Mayor some day!

| Our kind visitors brought very lovely gifts to help us better understand their countries and cultures

| Saturday was a fun day. We buckled Chris up on the bus and headed for Blarney. Chris kissed the Blarney stone and has had the gift of the gab ever since!

| Chris was very excited when we arrived in Kinsale. It was very windy at Charles Fort and we decided to go to the beach instead.
|
 |
 |
| A bit cold for swimming or even standing still. Some visitors overcome by the good bracing fresh air of Kinsale catch a nap on the bus.

| At the beach Chris tried to get in the water but it was freezing!
