Greenmount School Band

Greenmount's present School Band began in 1995. The band has 60 members drawn from 4th., 5th., and 6th. classes. Each year the band takes part in the School Mass, Christmas Concert, Cór Fhéile and the biannual Summer Concert.

Initially they used tin whistles, but with parental support and fund raising they now have a selection of instruments including; tin whistles, recorders, glockenspiel, chime bars, electronic keyboards, drums and other percussion instruments.

Some past and present members of the band have gone on to join The Barrack Street Band and The Butter Exchange Band.
